2001 7.3 boggy on accelleration

Everything runs fine except if I accellerate the engine bogs down. I parked in driveway and slowly pushed accellerator down all the way and I could feel the bogginess again. I did this 3-4 times the last time I heard a thump sound and then a whistle. The turbos intake hose had busted. The bogginess was gone. I replaced the hose and the bogginess returned. I was told it could be the waste gate accuator needed replacing but want some other opinions before I started replacing parts.
