randomly died?

hey guys, how are you doing? i have had my truck in the signature for 5 years with very few issues. today i was driving to work, got about ten miles rolling up to a stop sign and she just died...i got a little nervous thinking that it maybe the CPS and id have to get it towed home because i didnt get the recall done yet. so i put the truck in neutral, cranked her over, and she fired up normally as if nothing had happened. i started driving and wondering what the heck could have caused the random stall...i thought that maybe my controller cable for my chip may have wiggled loose on a bump and braking may have just jarred it enough to make it stall...i got to work with no issues, worked, and started my drive home. truck fired up with no issues, driving no issues, stopped at a store and left it high idling with no issues, drove a mile and hit another store, left it on high idle when i went into the second store, came back out, took it out of high idle, let it idle normally for a few, put it in reverse and she died again....this time i put the truck in park and cranked her up with no issues and it fired up again. both times the truck did this it would just die as if i shut the key off and crank up with no issues. the truck runs fine other than today when it stalled...its completely random. i have the wedges underneath the UVCH connectors so i dont think thats the issue....any ideas? im worried that one time the truck will die and wont start up for me. thanks!

CPS may be getting weak. some will go out slow, warning you like yours is doing, then after so long it just plays out and truck wont start. Others just go out completly the first time the truck dies and wont restart.

Oh ok. I hope that's what it is...that would be a relief. Thanks for the fast response.

Send a message via AIM to no-tel-in
I would swap the CPS first, cheap and easy to try. If not, hook it up to a scanner
