7.3 lots of smoke
Im looking at buying a late99 powerstroke truck. This truck smokes white bad and has a miss. also there is excessive blow by comeing from the ccv and out the oil fill. after you drive the truck for a few miles the miss seems to go away and most of the exhaust smoke goes away but not all of it. The dealership had the injectors tested and they were good...looks like the IDM is new...im thinking it must be rings? also the pcm inside the cab looks like its been messed with and might have a tune because it blows black smoke too and has decent power.
im thinking the guy that owned it may have had a program in it with no gauges and got the egt's cooking....any input would be apreciated
