check your battery voltage and where are you located I wouldn't think you need to have it plugged in this weather

Starter solenoid, batteries are good. Im near Huntington West Virginia, and its been hard to start unless plugged in, looking into getting a auto ingenuity scanner to find out whats wrong. It wont start unless plugged in every night and its been upper 60's at night here so it should start anyway, has me stumped.

it takes alot of juice to crank these engines. if you have checked the batteries and got above 12volt it still could not have enough juice if the other battery is just a volt low. i know it sounds crazy but its true i see it all the time. try jumping it . As for the plugging up issue you shouldnt have to plug these engines up until temps are below 0 and thats only if your glow plugs are weak. I have never plugged mine up, ever! check your gpr. perhaps your alternator is shot and caused all this. but it really sounds like batteries.
