Newbie here with some questions......

Just so you all know i traded a 2001 Dodge Ram V10 4x4 for this 1999 F250 2wd w/7.3 auto, the F250 is a beast but i have a couple of questions, the first being my a/c if its on "max a/c" it blows cold for oh 5 to 10 minutes then it gets warm, doesn't change vents (front vents to defrost) it just gets warm. if its on "a/c" then it will blow cold until i shut the truck off, i drive cross country with travel trailers, so all highway very little in town driving, but depending on where you are the "a/c" helps but doesn't keep it cool in the cab. what could this be? 2ndly, this truck is straight stock no mods whatsoever, i bought her w/ 186k miles and she smoked er used to smoke, the guy drove it maybe 100 miles a month but he was adding fuel additive to the tank and i think that may have built up in the injectors causing her to smoke, but i got a heavy trailer and took her out on the highway and oh 200 miles later no more smoke, blew all that crap out of the system, but what is the best chip to use and exhaust, i'm wanting to achieve better fuel mileage, right now i'm getting roughly 8 miles to the gallon, what is the best exhaust to use and i already have a CAI in mind just have to find a good place to get it.
thanks for the help

You definately need to get exhaust and an intake on there to improve your MPG. As for a chip, I recommend DP. You will see on here that the chip suggession is a touchy topic. Just dont get anything that is a generalized chip like edge, bullydog, banks, and chips like that. DP, TW, PHP.... thoses are the chips you want. My recommendation is DP all the way though. As for the A/C, I have heard of it happening but cant remember the cause to it. Maybe someone esle will chime in.

Any 4 in. turbo back exhaust system is what your looking for as far as exhaust. There are many good ones out there, banks, mbrp etc..

generic tunes aren't neccesarily bad as long as you don't over due them. I currently have a banks big hoss on my truck. I pull quite a bit but i dont hammer on it when i pull. I've had zero trouble out of it. However, that being said, I'm planning to get a custom tuned chip as soon as i can just because of all the positive feedback on them.

Hope this helps a little
