911 on WHITE SMOKE & WTF!!!

I have a 2001 Super Duty F250, 7.3, 234K.

Pulled the injectors and did a complete O Ring Set (supplied by Diesel Injection Services - $12 per kit less than Dealer and always friendly).

Changed the oil and filter today - same problem!!! (Was a thought that fuel was in the oil).

I have noticed that my coolant level is tied to this issue - going from max to min on the reservoir.

What's the easiest way to determine what the issue is here - short of a top end rebuild. Gonna do a comp check later today and see if I can identify the bastardly cylinder.

The billowing white smoke only appears when slowing down to a stop, or the frist 60 feet of accererating from a stop, but almost never when rolling down the street, or on the freeway. TRUCK IS RUNNING GREAT OTHERWISE, no noticed loss of power or MPG? I am towing the fifth wheel north next weekend and gotta get this resolved - PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks all - dj

are you having to add coolant? Maybe you have a lazy injector??

Can I check that with a comp test? Otherwise the options would be bench test or ????

Thanks for the reply - lemme know.

Oh, which branch? USMC CW05 / retired & loving it :-)
