guages not working

i have a 99 the truck runs fine but the guages quit working. sometimes if you hit a bump the will come on but then go right back off. quessing a connection somewhere but i have no idea where to start looking

Check your ground.

r u talking about the ground wires for the batteries that bolt to the block

YOu probably have a common ground that all the gauges grounds are tied to - whether to the battery but should be to a body bolt somewhere as most common. If they work when you hit a bump then that means that a connection is loose and it would be a connection common to all.

Most likely a ground.

The gauges shuld all have a single common ground going to a screw or a bolt somewhere - that is most likely loose.

I am talking about the guages in the dash not aftermarket do they all have a common ground.
