HPOP seal DUMPING oil
Well not my truck thankfully but my room mates truck(99 6spd) decided to crap out when im driving it of course..thankfully i realized the puddle of oil down the driveway. Its dumping a quart every few mins at least...
So i crawled on top with it running(there was oil all over engine front back/valley, etc) traced it to the HPOP line on the right under the "powerstroke" fuel bowl cover. Does anyone know what line exactly this is and a part number for the seal and such? This truck isnt exactly driveable dumping that much. i'd have to haul it on the car trailer somewhere. Just trying to help my bud out, hes outta town until monday with the rest of the family.. thanx. |

if its just the o-ring, a #906 ORB ring will get you on the road again, might cost about 25 - 50 cents at a parts store.
Save the money for the swear jar when you cut your hands to crap on those lovely braided HPO lines. |
