turbo install

i put a new turbo on my dads 99 powerstroke and i cant get the turbo back enough for the up pipes in the back iv tryed everything. is there a tip you guys know to get it the turbo back there so i can get the clamp on? im hopping that if i get it going he will just get mad and get a new truck that way i can have hes old one lol

You might need to loosen the up-pipes at the manifolds to allow them to swing, and leave the turbo loose while you line everything up. If you've already tightened the turbo, you may have to replace the pedestal o-rings again - they don't do well being crushed twice.
