exhaust leak??

You can only notice it when you are in the cab. With the engine running & standing out side truck sounds as it should. Pop the hood & you can hear the noise a bit in the air filter which is a an aftermarket Air Raid. Noise is definetely on the drivers side & is only really noticeable when idling or coasting. When you come on the her a bit sound goes away. Trucks starts good, runs good, same power, runs like it always did. Just loud in the cab. Kind of sounds like my old v6 f-150 I had that had a bad exhaust manifold gasket. I have done a quick look & see no exhaust leaks.

Anyone have this problem?? Any suggestions?

Look for a soot trail - if not at the head/exhaust manifold interface, then at the exhaust manifold/up-pipe interface or the up-pipe / turbo interface. You may have to get a mirror and flashlight to do that last one. You could also temporarily plug the exhaust pipe with a rag for a very short interval while you listened - it may get loud enough to find.

Check the ccv. I just thaught I had a leak there too and the damn tube wasnt plugeed into the air tube. Drivers side valve cover towards the rear there should be a hose with a 90 degree bend in it that plugs into the air intake.
