Weird 7.3L issue..help

So lately my truck will smoke white/blue smoke when i pull up in my drive way or at stop light SOMETIMES, not all the time. i pulled my chip to see if maybe that was the problem...not it. no codes show up on the code reader. I do kinda notice a little hesitation/lack of power in the lower rpm ranges (kinda like a gasser with a slight miss) I could bring it into a dealer...but they want $180+ tax just to look at it. Any help at all would be appreciated
