Ok im working on a f-250 99 PSD its at a friends shop and hasn't look at it tell now be its not starting he said a customer got it towed to hes shop and the customer was driving and the truck just died that all he knows. it has fuel we replaced the cps from another truck that was running and i replaced the hpop and tried to stared it today and it didn't work but my question is when cranking it it cranking show with full charged batters im thinking it the starer what do you guys think and how do i get this truck run again? please HELP!!

Looks like your trying to say that starter is cranking slow. If so that may be your problem. The starter needs to crank the engine fast in order to get the injectors to fire. If its not then she won't start. Check & make sure your getting 12v at the starter & check grounds. If you are then have the starter tested. Or can you try the starter from the other truck?

how do i know if a cps is working? will the tack move or what?

In some models the tach will move - I think, but not for sure that it is the pre 2001 trucks. Does your wait to start light come on? Is there any smoke from the tailpipe. Is the fuel filter assembly full?

The ICP is a sensor on the front, inner aspect of the driver's side head. If you suspect it is bad, you can unplug it and try to start the truck. The PCM will use a default value.

Yea I got fuel but I cand got over why it truns over so slow Im goin to swop out starters on Monday and see wha that dose
