2000 F-450 7.3 6 speed intermittent shut off at hwy. speed
just bought a f-450 7.3 6 speed has a intermittent shut off problem at hwy. speed almost like a hick up then suddenly starts off where it began the best way to describe it..... IT SHUTS OFF THEN BACK ON !! all at once ? help me out !?

sounds like it needs a cps.
it was recalled by ford, see if you can get it replaced free

CPS does not tend to turn itself back on.

mine did, the truck randomly cut out 2-3 times a week, never happened again after the cps was replaced

yes exactly what happened to me, a new cps will solve it

just the tach goes to .0. then at operating rpm's after turning back on...... its not like u turned the ign. switch off then on. and where is the cps located on the motor and is it hard to change not familiar with the 7.3
