99 F-550 Problems

I have a 99 F-550 with 158,xxx on it and also has the towing bed witha fuel tank on the top of the bed and i washed the engine conpartment one day truck ran ine parked it for a week and went to start it wouldnt start after a while it finely started but wouldnt idle had a very heavy lope and wouldnt accelerate on either tanks then would run fine on one tank (random) run great on the road then stop shut off and it will repeat the same thing all over and somtimes if wont but mostly acts up.

I drained the fuel bowl. nothing changed.
changed filters
checked all fuses
checked fuel ect and still acts up anyonne no anything>?
no lights are on sometimes the check engine light comes on on the road not long enough to put the scanner on it tho.
any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

may be your cps going bad try changing that out
