oil overflow ?

i have had a oil leak that runs all over tranny when i fill oil level . It stops when the level is in bottom third of cross hatch on dip stick . Is there a overflow hole on rear of block on 7.3's ?

Not an "overflow", but there is a hole in the back of the valley that drains anything that gets on the top of the motor out the back. It runs down the back and everyone thinks the rear main seal went out. Check out these videos.
