Turbo Fins. Look Normal? Pic included.

I was told by previous owner the turbo broke and sucked the fins in motor, this is why he said it quit running. Is this picture normal? The main bolt/shaft is tight, meaning it doesnt wobble but it spins smoothly.

That wheel is trashed. I have no clue how it could be that torn up unless it was sucking rocks up

there is metal in the intercooler or motor somewhere
