Basket case stroker needen so info. Please
I recently bought a 99 f350 dually the build date on the truck is 2-99. I know the engine was changed once dew to the guy not knoming to oil his K&N. The engine they put in has a build date Nov. 98. If I understand right that makes a Late 99 pick-up with a Early 99 motor. The guy told me it has never ran right since engine swap. The computers are the origanal to pick-up and not the motor. The motor also I know does not have the #8 long lead injector. If anybody has any advice please let me Know.

Do you know what injector's are in the motor? Are they the single shot AA injectors? If your PCM doesn't correspond to the injectors you have, it will run like crap if at all.
If it turns out that your injectors didn't get swapped when the motor was, you might need your PCM reburned. I would call Jody at DP-Tuner and explain your situation to him. I'll bet he can help. |
