temp guage

For some reason my temp guage on the instrument panel is very slow it only begins to move when I am on it but it doesn't move after I let it heat up for a while when its cold out any ideas?

where are you from? is it cold there? do u still have a thermostat?

new york and right now its about 35* but it does it even when its 55*

Your thermostat could be stuck open. Might be worth pulling it to check. If you do replace it, make sure you get a long thermostat (some auto parts stores sell a short one that will not cover the bypass correctly)
