been signed up for a while, lurkin around, just never posted. i have a 2000 PS 7.3, 6 speed manual with 182,000 miles i've owned for a year and a half now.
i've done so searchin around on this site and found some info but still have a question or two. the problem i've been having is an engine stutter/stumble at speed. it usually only happens in 4th or 5th gear gettin on the throttle like 5/8ths or 3/4. like in passing or gradual grade accents. as soon as it spools up and really starts gettin into the powerband it disappears. its really never an issue just driving around unloaded but seems to be worse if its loaded. i just hauled 2300 pounds to the scrap yard and there is a 1/2 mile section thats a maybe 3 or 4 percent grade and when i applied lite throttle to keep up to speed it started stumbling/stuttering hard......then i stepped on it and the turbo spooled up and it smoothed out. the truck in well maintaned and i have recently replaced the cam position sensor thinking thats what may have been the culprit. any help is appreciated.........
since everyone seems to enjoy watching them......here's an 8 degree cold start video
