New Motor

Hey Folks----after all the issue/problems I've had with my 7.3 using oil I finally fixed it. Thats right, I just stuffed a motor in the truck! I don't want to give up my 7.3. I have one final question for all you Ford Techs and/or service writers. Ford gives me a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty on this thing but, I am concerned about my tuner, air cleaner, etc. Will these void the warranty? Thanks for all the help in trying to fix this nightmare!!!

I bought the long block less injectors and turbo since I replaced those trying to fix my oil consumption. Funny though, Ford shipped the wrong motor and it has the injectors in it!!! Being a vendor for the dealership, the service writer said "I don't see nothin'!" and sold it to me for the same price. Now I have an extra set on new injectors. Total with install is $6400. A bunch of coin but, still cheaper than a new truck.

Nice. Sounds like you got a pretty good deal for a long block, especially with injectors and the labor too. Not sure if the engine falls under the same rules as the truck or not. I would look a the terms of the warranty and see what it says. Not that it would be very understandable unless you are a lawyer, but you should be able to get an idea.
