oil residue in turbo-added pic

Hey guys i took my turbo off today to install wicked wheel and there was a oil residue in the turbo housing, kinda sticky like grease, is this the seals failing in the turbo?-thanx John

Its probably just crank case oil. A picture would help.

How's it compare to oil residue Before & After the turbo? That is, if there's Lots before maybe just CCV, if After could be the Turbo itself.

Don't panic if there's a bit of UP & DN play in the turbo shaft, it's supposed to be there but, any evidence of the compressor contacting the housing?

How many miles?

The oil is most likley from your CCV and is normal.
