Will a 97 7.3 hpop work on a 99 7.3

My truck is down right now, hpop is bad. I need the truck and a friend says he has a 97 hpop. I haven't seen the pump but will it work just to get me by until i can get a new one. This is on a 550 service truck I need back up soon! Thanks for any input!!

early or late 99? and it would kinda work it would most likely get the truck running again but it would probably throw a code for low oil pressure
