cooling system

Alright well sunday my truck started leaking coolant because the thermistat was out and would not open. I replaced the thermistat and everything was good for the rest of sunday and all through monday. I drove from work to school last night and just a little came out of the cap again. Was not leaking after the truck was off like last time and was about 2in below the cold low line on the truck when it was hot. Truck runs normal as far as the temp and heater is fine. Only guess i had was that the system had a little air in it. Its never been over heated and no issues what so ever as long as i have owned it. So i let it run w/o the cap for a bit, squeezed the lines to make sure no air was caught in the system. Went around town for a bit and no issues. It was a little low this morning which i expected because i was messing with it while it was hot. Added a little fluid so it was at the correct level and drove about five miles to work. Again everything was fine once i got to work. Just went out to look and its a little low again, i know its not leaking out of any of the lines or anything else. Im a little lost, starting to think its the cap. Any ideas? Im going to top it off again, see what happens. No oil or anything in anything when i drained fluid to replace the thermistat. Welcomes to any ideas.
