Can I Test CPS

My 95 PS has always ran well as long as oil pressure and fuel filter maintained.
I am having problems now with rough/stalling idle. No noticeable problems other than that. I did let it get low on fuel so I refueled and added sea foam and new fuel filter. Still running rough at idle. Can a test on the cam position sensor be performed?

I know of no way to test the cps besides swap it out. You can run a scanner tool on your truck to see if you have any codes on it. The thing is you need an OBD1 scanner as OBD2 did not come out till 96. But with the syptoms you are stating it could either be needing to bleed the fuel system or the cps could be bad.

By the way welcome to the site.

I really like this site and appreciate the help big country. I tried and got aggravated buying on EBay ( CPS ). They do that bump game and I lose interest. I did follow a lead on this site regarding a glow plug total kit. The same link I found Ford 12K073 shipping next day total 90 bucks and the newer 97 ups are a tad less. Thanks again link Powerstrokeshop.com - PSD and Ford Superduty Parts
