Truck won't start after running out of fuel

My wife ran it out last night and even after dumping 5 gallons in the tank it cranks and cranks but won't start. Any suggestions (other than not letting her drive it).

prolly has air trapped in it. crack the fuel filter housing open to release the air. then try it again

my 03 did the same thing, cycle and cycle and cycle the key and let the pump run it should fire after a while
