head scratcher w/DTC 1316

Hey guys I have used this forum a lot and is a great one. So I got a 2001 7.3. I replaced all of the injectors, glow plugs and uvc harnesses. Since then the check engine light comes only when I depress the accelerator and immediately goes off when I let off of the accelerator? If I plug it in at night it starts good and runs on 6-7 cylinders for about 15 min then runs fine all day. If I don't plug in it starts about the same and runs on about 6-7 cylinders for about 3-4 min and then acts like it runs out of fuel. Takes minimal cranking to get it started again (30-60 Sec.) and then runs fine. I have a superchip tuner (not installed on this truck) and retrieved the codes 475 & 1316 not worried about 475. I have had this truck since new and it has 105k on it. When it gets up to operating temp. it runs ok but still a little uneasy for a 2001 Powerstroke. Oh and I did put an AE injector in #8. Any ideas??

sounds like glow plug relay is going bad, as for the accelerator problem it may be the entire accelerator harness which is all electrical.

check your harness where the connector is above the drivers valvecover. 10mm and take it apart and look at the harness where it sits on the valve cover. they rub through and cause all sorts of running issues. just a thought
