Diesel Fuel Smell??

When I turn the heat on in my truck I can smell diesel fuel and also noticed after I have drove it and parked I can smell it from the front of the truck. Dont see no leaks or nothing splattering on the engine. What could this be from??

I had the same issue and it was because my fuel filter came loose. I figured that out after I ran out of fuel. Wasn't a good day for me. Good luck.

look it over some more, it sounds like you have a fuel leak. the drain valves are known to leak fuel into the valley.

I can catch a "whiff" every once in a great while walking past the front of my truck after it has been running, but never coming through the vents. Did you make sure your lid to the fuel bowl was secured tightly last time you did a filter change? I always get a LARGE pair of slip-joint pliers and pad the lid with a rag, and make sure that sucker is tight. Don`t go crazy on it, just make sure it`s snug. Good luck.
