Hello guys; Iam trying to install a edge evolution on my 97 7.3. When I try it will erase the stock code and will not reload anything which leaves the truck inoperable when I contacted edge aboutthe problem they said that it was my pcm getting weak. This was after they sent me two new programmers. When I ask ford they said that was not the problem. I was able to put the stock code back in that edge sent me and get the truck running again but no performance codes. Also could you tell me what locking the converter up does. Thanks for any help.

Send the Evolution back and get a flip chip.

What is a flip chip and where do I get one

You can get the chip from many venders around the site..I think youll like it better than the evo. Switching on the fly is a great thing.
