Front end of motor grinding/nocking noise
My truck started making a noise today and it almost sounds like a wheelbearing going bad but it does it while the truck is standing still in park. I opened the hood and looked inside everything lookes good. It sounds like could be the fan bearings or something in the front end of the motor that has a bad bearing any ideas. Is there anything else I should check I'm not getting any trouble codes nor is it lossing any power.

Water pump pulley is wobbling. Do I need to replace the entire water pump? How hard is it to replace the waer pump.

yes, replace the water pump. It comes as an assembly minus the fan. If you don't have the big tools to knock the fan loose, it's a lossing battle. If you decide to do it yourself and are not verrrrryyyy carful, you'll hit the radiator and knock a hole in it. Make sure th bottom rad hose gets removed and the rad flushed out. These engines have a LOT of sand in the water jacket. Probably what caused the problem.
