when I step on the gas to pass, sometimes the trans does not shift down into passing gear.my buddy owns a tranny shop and plug his diagnostic equipment into the truck ,the trans is fine,it said turbo charger boost sensor A perform.do I change the sensor?

is the code p0236 ,if so , may have clogged map sensor port in intake or
cracked line to map sensor , may be map sensor bad , if engine isnt running right it can also cause low power, does the engine seem to run smooth

just a wild guess, but do you have a boost fooler of ant type? you might be overboosting triggering the pcm to de-fuel and there goeds the passing power.
