Oil leak And Oil LIfe

I have a small oil leak it is showing up on the transmission bell housing and it looks like it could be a main seal i am not sure. I also saw oil and traced it back to around the turbo any one had any problimes with oil leaking down from up top and dripping down below? And what kinda oil do you use and how often do you change it. Thanks

I use shell rotella synthetic with lucas synthetic additive. I change the filter at 5000 miles, add oil and change oil and filter at 10000 miles. preston

oil leak isnt rear main seal, probably coming from the top and running down clean off good and drive some , look in the engine valley and see if you can tell then where it is coming from

Maybe it is from the pedestal under the turbo? I would venture to say that, HPOP, or valve covers. Pressure wash the motor with some engine degreaser, so you have a clean place to start, and trace for your leak. Wash the motor when it is cool, and try to stay away from electronic parts. Just my 2 cents.
