Still need PSD help!!!
Other thread was getting a little congested and I haven't got any responses but I took the truck to the dealer and got it diagnosed. So far they told me their scanner said it is a problem with #2 and #5 injectors. They haven't gone any further than that and I told them I am picking up the truck because I am tired of their BS. So now what?
I am brought the truck home and pulled both valve covers. Is it a problem with the harness or injectors themselves? LMK ASAP please!!! If it is an injector problem I am going to order two new injectors right now. TIA diealers diagnosis says P344 P0603 P1272 Failure in Injector circuit Also what is the firing order on the 7.3? I would like to figure out which two cylinders are #2 and #5 and if anyone can decode these codes I would appreciate it. thanks |

3rd back on right side just got a new injectory/glow plug harness. Could it be that that was an old code? And do I need a Cam position sensor? They have one instock at the dealer... sigh... for $180

I already have the valve covers off and the wires on the drivers side are fine. I am lost...I just ordered two new injectors and I am having them overnighted from Florida to CA. So hopefully they will be here tomorrow. If that doesn't work then what??? |

p1272 could be an injector , well actualy not the injector but the electrical top, i probably would have done some more wiring checks before replacing injector , but with new injector in at least youl know thats not it

what else is there to check in the wiring?

if you are sure that all wiring under valve cover is fine then you can check wiring from valve cover connection back to injector driver module located in left rear corner of engine compartment , generally dont see that being a concern ,but 1272 is usually a wiring problem

alright, when the injectors come tomorrow I will throw them in and check it again. The wire harness for the injectors/plugs looks good, no melted conectors or anything. If it was electrical where could it be? The IDM harness is pretty thick...so I would have to isolate the single injector and glow plug wires and follow them back to the IDM computer?
