truck wont idel up

hey guys i got my dads 2000 7.3 and the other day it ideled up to 1200 then when i went back out to the truck it was just ideling at 650 and now it wont idel up at all. i scaned it for codes and didnt find anything. what could it be?

If it was cold out that is normal. It will close the ebpv and idle up to expedite warm up. When it reaches a desireable temperature it will idle down to normal ops. It will also idle down if you tap the brake peddle.

ya its cold out but it dont idel up at all now just stays at 650 thanks
