1997 7.3 CEL comes on

here are the basics (I also posted on the 911 thread since this is my only ride) It will start up and the CEL immeadaitley comes on and it runs REALLY rough! I limped it into the garage and my local guy hooked up thr OBD and it came up as a bad cam sensor, the first one was bqad out of the box and the second one came from ford, it was replaced but it does the exact same thing. When I was driving it to the garage I came to a stop sign, shifted to neutral to feather the pedal and keep the rpms up to keep from stalling, I let the rpms come down for a second, the CEL went out and it ran like usual for about 7-8 miles then the CEL came back on stayed on and it runs really rough. any help would be apprecaited.

I will be taking mine to ford in the morning for some diagnostics. I will share my results.
