dipstick oil pan flange kit from international
This kit 1846146C91 from International is used to repair a leak at the flange w/o removing the pan.
this kit is a joke. all it has is one gasket, a lot of grey RTV and some locktight, plus the o ring for the dipstick tube. for $60 it was a rip off. they could have made a tool from the dipstick flange fron falling in the oil pan. but here was my problem, I could not get the nut loose no matter what I tried, so rather than making life more of a pain, I used a screwdriver, and gently pryed up the flange, sprayed break cleaner around it, and use a syringe to push some rtv into the gap around the flange. Now I will let it setup over night and change the oil tommarow, and see how it works out. Hopfully this will be the end of nightmare oil leaks!!!!!!!!!!!! |
