Since I have Installed all the goodies I just had to have, I have noticed what seems to me like a power decrease...Maybe I am just weary of all the money and have some buyers remorse but it really sounds like I have worse cackle and the tranny is shifting to early the injector timing is to fast and the powerband runs thin on the top end...Conversly I guess I am not sure what kind of performance I am supposed to expect as all my friends that are of the "Power Stroke" bug drive the 6.0 and I have seen their sit still tire smoking torque but wonder what I should have expected, I know that on the highway she rumbles and drives like a champ; However also lacks the shine in the gate I would like to have...Since I bought and installed all the goodies I also notice that the "Cam Lope" is getting more defined..worse... if you will and that at a Stop light idle speed is about 1100 rpm until you shift to nuetral, maybe all I have bought is in frivaulity or maybe it will increase milage and performance but maybe I am truely not sure what I am talking about...so the question....how do yours feel, how do they sound, how do they perform, are you pleased with all you have invested for what you got out of it???

I bought a TS 6 position chip stacked on the edge for the display , put in a wheel. I decided that the best way to slow the smoke was a deeper breath so then came the AFE stage II and a 4" down pipe and a wide open 5" the rest of the way back... I must add I am now getting used to the sound but at first I was completely disappointed I have owned super quiet trucks since high school days and this was definately a huge huge change, it isn't really all that loud just hard to tell it from the school busses.

ok After a little light reading in the 6.0 forums I have discovered that although the edge is a fantastic product, it doesnt care for being stacked with other devices all that well... As I have a 7.3 and know that they are two completely different engineering feats I too know that it is directely related to the computer programming and the common link between them is just that. So my next experiment is going to be isolating the two, running them individually. I would however: like to go for a ride in a 7.3 that has one or the other to see if this is my imagination or an insatiable need for speed I am not going to get without bigger bucks...
In conclusion I have a suspicion the parts supplier that I am dealing with is full of doody and just likes the numbers and will tell to sell me anything he can, Any thoughts? |

from what ive been told 7.3 don't like to much timing and if you stacked a chip and a programer together its timing maybe to high..take off the programer and run it. or mabe you over tighten the turbo wheel which will cause it so spool up slow i dont know if this will be much help...
