Can anyone tell me

I've got a simple question if I had a Manual for my 99 7.3. I just haven't got one yet. Can anyone tell me what the torque is for the valve covers and the glow plugs? I read on here the valve cover was 8 lb's and couldn't find anything on the glow plugs. Hope someone can put me on the right track. I got my kit and will replace all when the weather warms a bit. How many are ready for spring besides myself??? Thank you

I have a book for a 96 7.3. The torque for the glow plug is 14 Lb-Ft. I would think that from 96 to 99 would be the same. It also stats the valve covers torque at 97 Lb-In. Hope this is the info needed

My 1999 ford service manual also says 14 ft. lbs.

Thanks for the quick reply. It's always nice to get things put back like they came apart. Too tight or too loose usually causes trouble. I'll have to get a manual so I don't have to ask and I can return the favor to someone else. I guess all I need now is for it to warm up a little and find the time. I've already done the hard part and spent the money HA!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again.

Thanks for the support guy's. If the people running our country could take a leason from this site just think what a difference it would make!!! Larz18 Nice looking truck it's a lot like mine it's RED HA!!!! The guy that had mine before I bought it told me they named it big RED. I guess it will stick. I did change my Glow plug relay and it did make difference in the voltage on the pole to the glow plugs. I still have a problem and when I get it done I will post the results. Aleast I know that the relay was part of the problem. Thanks again
