horrible fuel mileage!!! :confused:

i have a 1999.5 f250sd 194,000 miles. my truck ever sense i put the rebuilt turbo in and up pipe gaskets im getting 13.2 mpg empty no trailer. i dont have a heavy foot. and i dont let the rpm usually get above 2200 rpms. i recently have cleaned my airraid air filter and changed the fuel filter. nothing seems to help. i dont hear any boost leaks anywere and my boost gauge reads up to 25 psi what should i check im stumped.

if your not running a programer or a chip i dont think thats too far off.... maybe a little low. honestly the last thing i did to help mpg's was a new set of steer tires.

i have a ts perfromace chip. and the guy i got it from said 75hp is economy mode that what i run in. and my tires are half tread and are 285/75/16

what were you getting b4? i havnet been able to get above 15mpg. plus half my driving is city.

what boost are you pushing? do you have gauges?

im pushing 3-5 at 65-70mph and 60mph 1-2 psi and max pressure is about 25-28

what was the reason for the rebuilt turbo? was there any parts that didnt get replaced or did you change the wheel on it?
