3 revs on start (up to 900rmp, down to 400ish) - then a smooth idle.

i don't have access to a free scan (unless autozone has the right one but, i doubt it)

anyone

this truck needs to be plowing this year.

I was going to offer you a free scan but as soon as you mentioned "plowing" I know you don't live near me. It's still 96 degrees here!

A scan is what you probably need though, seems like something is sending wrong info.

well thanks for the almost offer Bigb!

ya, i have an email into PHP and i'll be getting a scanner. if i have any hope of fixing/diagnosing things myself, i'll need it.

ya, it's weird. it fires up tries to go immediately into high idle, then drops to about 500 RPM (like its trying to correct itself), and bounces like that a couple times.

a tech at a local deals thinks it may be ICP but, we'll see when the scanner comes in.

thanks again!

Is it like this?

Mine does this every time its cold out side, by cold i mean below 35. The colder it is the worse it romps, that one in the video was i think about 5 degrees outside.

It always stops when i give it a little bit of throttle.

I have no idea why. Scott, whats your "expert" opinion.

daveyburt,

I only saw one e-mail re: AE this weekend and answered it. If you didn't receive a reply, can you please resend it, and I'll be happy to help you out. Thank you!

YES!!!

it romps exactly like that video. but, mine did it while it was still pretty warm out (60s).
for me tho, only 3 times

and....now that you mention it , i didn't get a reply.

I was going to resend soon tho. thanks for noticing/posting!
my question was, ...more just to verify; the ford bundle will give me 'next to dealership powers' over testing/diagnosing my truck?

if so, i'll get back with you about it early next week. -road trip this w/e...in a rental

thx!!!
