Knock during startup.

when i start my truck it cranks fine at first then it sounds like a knocking sound then it will start. it runs fine. starter is only a few weeks old and it did not do it when i first put it in. any ideas what it could be?

Can you be any more descriptive on the knock sound?

it cranks fine and then after about the 3rd crank i hear a loud knock. i dont really know how else to explain it. after i put the starter in, a couple days later the bottom bolt loosened up and when i went to start it the starter would **** out from the bell housing and make a sound like when you try and start a car that is already running. i put a new bolt in and ever since then i hear the knock.
