fan nut

2001 f350 powerstroke is this a left or right hand thread?
Tried both directions unsucsessfully. even tried air chisel, help need to know so as to minimize the damage.

The nut on the fan clutch is right handed threads. I have had good luck with a cold air chisel. But do not get too rough with it as you can dammage threads on water pump.

right hand thread. Thanks that helped as all the bolts came out of pump pulley which in turn ruined pulley and belt. Had too drill hole in pulley and wedge a long pin punch in to get it loose. Loctited the bolts back in to prevent a reacurrance .all this and had pump changed last fall.
