7.3 slow to start

My 7.3 cranks over good, but it takes about 3 to 5 seconds of cranking before it starts up, what could be the cause of this?

mine just started doing this, its the solinoid switch on the starter, sadly its one piece, so had to get a new starter, got mine from autozone with life time warrenty, highly reccomended, any thing goes wrong, and BAM..... new one for free..........

Alright had a friend listen to it and he said it was normal, said mine sounded like his always did, so i feel better bout that. It cranks over fast just takes it bout 2 to 3 seconds before it starts.
