Need some help please !

02- F-250 7.3L service engine light is staying on...no program on the truck.
pulled the codes...P1211. Changed the IPC sensor and reset ...it runs for a min. then the code comes back ! Drove it a little and runs good.. Stopped at store and when I came back out turned the key on and it cranked up. but no
gauges worked, put it and gear and it will only idle. when you push the gas peddle it does nothing ! Found that fuse was blown. Changed the fuse and all was back to normal. Drove it a little and it done the same. The fuse was blown again ! After the 3rd time the fuse is not blown but the gauges are out and the truck only idles ! What would be the problem ?...anyone have any I deals?

thanks for your help !

Wiring for O.D. button on shifter is shorting out inside steering column. This will blow the fuse for the throttle pedal, you can pull the covers off the column and unplug it.

is it fuse #45 in the fuse box under the dash and a 10 amp fuse. If that's the one then check for a rubbed through wire for the overdrive button in the shifter. it rubs through on the top of the steering column.

Fuse 45 !

Ok that sounds right my OD button hasn't worked in a while. But the fuse blew 3 times now the fuse appears to be ok , but the gauges and stuff still are not working...what would cause this?...It started out blowing a 10A fuse. the 3rd time i use a 25A fuse ! So what would it be now?..Shorting out in the steering and possible a relay now?

thanks

I fixed the wires in the shifter. but the dash still doesn't work, the truck turns over but doesn't run. Also the relay #303(Injector driver module relay) is clicking and buzzing. It stops when i pull #302 (powertrain (EEC) relay). no fuses or blown. Does this sound like PCM?

thanks

I posted about the same problem a few days ago. My wires are ok and I'm going to change the shifter column next. Mine does the same thing with no gauges and just idles but I don't have blown fuse, and it only does it intermitently.

Wow! That would normaly be hard to find! Awesome! I unplugged the OD wires and have throttle again...no visible wear so there must be a break inside.
