Fuel Pre-Heater
I ran into a guy at a dunkin donuts he told me i could put a feul pre heater on my truck that ties into the cooling system. he said it should increase my mpgs so i should get 35 to 45 mpgs. it will do this by pre heating the fuel before it gets to the injectors so the motor will not be working as hard the heat the fuel. i dont know if any of the is true. can't find anything with this kind of info on the net just stuff for the winter. if it will help alot when it is cold out this to would be a good help to know because it gets cold here in New Hampshire and i will be plowing with it. It will also be my first winter with a diesel truck. thank for the help.

If heating the fuel would double the mileage then I should be getting great mileage on these 105 degree days.

yea its been in the 90's everyday for the past week and im still getting the same 19.47mpg that i've been getting all along. would a pre heater help the truck run a little better in the winter with the fuel being warmer? I see tank heaters that warm the tank to help from jelling. i'm not sure what to think about it but i never thought of heating the fuel before this guy said something to me. then i've been finding all kinds of products for pre heating the diesel. with it being so cold here in the winter is a pre heater a good idea for me to do???
