I would like 1 new #8 injector for 2000 7.3 LL

I am in Texas and Ford is telling me they only sell a rebuilt for $355.

Any vendors help me out. I was going to go big but the budget is not allowing it at the moment and truck is starting to act funny. I think it may be sticking and the contribution test says #8.

Also 4 glow plugs since I am in there.

injector

Hey...I just installed one I got from Pensacola Diesel. $99.00. + core. Found them on Ebay. Double check with the techs there or your local dealer because All injectors should be the same (ae's) except # 8 (AD) I have never figured this one out. Each year might be different. My dealer wanted the same as yours and my local rebuild shop wanted 265.00. These guys in Florida seem really good. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I talked to pensacola myself last week and the guy seemed alright but he told me his will not last 200k he said I would have to buy the brand new alliant injectors to get that mileage again.

Then I read a whole bunch of stuff about people getting bad injectors that were not reconditioned at all, just cores set back out.

I really only want to do the injector thing one time...so this stopped he has a nice kit that comes with UV harness glow plugs and injectors, for a grand and its very tempting.

BUt he is not a sponser and does not have that good of a rep.

I thought about rebuilding but I was told you cant rebuild the number 8 injector. I am good with wrenching I am just not sure if I can get the tolerances needed for injector work I have no shop or garage it would be a kitchen table event in my 5th wheel as I am traveling and working.

You ought to find you an Alliant Power dealer. I've used their parts of a number of occasions, and I have been happy with them.
