Unhappy 2000 F350 keeps going dead, I NEED HELP!!!!!!!

My 2000 F350 7.3L keeps going dead. A few days ago I drove it down the road(just like normal) and all of a sudden the engine shut off and I couldnt get it to crank up again. It was sort of like it was out of fuel. Well after sitting for 10-15 minutes I tried again and it cranked up, but then went dead again after about 4-5 minutes. It will start with no problem but ALWAYS goes dead after a few minutes. Can anybody here help me? I really dont have the $$$$$ to put it in the shop. Somebody told me to drop the tank and clean the socks out, but if it was clogged it wouldnt start period, right? I NEED HELP ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you know someone with a scanner like an Autoenginuity they can pull your codes.

Post your location and maybe someone near you will help out.

Good luck.

I suspect the CPS also based on what you say.

Certainly can't hurt. If it is not your problem, throw the old one in your glove compartment. You may need it one day.

I'm not too far from you. I'm in Northern Pickens County, SC. Mailing addess is Cleveland too. SC.

They are actually recalled parts. If you can get the truck to them, they should do it for free, if not i think its around $100
