01 PSD ONLY 5PSI BOOST?

I'm new but have been reading a lot just put on gauges and only getting 5psi on the boost gauge seems to run fine but i ride in my buddys 2000 which is chipped a a 5" exhaust and you can here his turbo spool big time barely here mine I have a diy intake and 4" mbrp turbo back have any idea? definitely not as quick as his mines a dog cc long bed

a pillar through the firewall into the tube with the T connector

Check your CAC tubes for holes or cracks. I had low boost and i found 1 crack and one of the clamps on the turbo intake boot fell down allowing boost to escape. This is the #1 place to loose boost.

we tried the boots they look fairly new i just bought this truck about a month ago we took plumbing pvc pipe on the end of the hoses pressuried them through the cooler at 25 psi and heard no leaks

Have you checked the turbo?
is the truck blowing any excess smoke or any other signs that something is wrong besides low power

Just a little white smoke when u mash the throttle bur that's it seems. Like the power is the same since I bought the truck a month ago little better throttle response since the arir intake and turbo back exhaust I should put in here that the console also says I am getting only about 14 mpg also

Did you happen to kink the boost line?

no I don't think I did ran on some good country roads today and seems fine just no boost on the gauge over 5psi.
