misfire help please!!!!

My 2000 f350 has a miss. it idles ruff, white smoke when cold and hard excel, and feals like you pulled a plug wire off a gasser. not having a good scanner i pulled all injectors in hopes to find burnt washer or bad o-ring. no luck. so I took to my buddy with a nags scanner did buzz and contrabution tests. this reveals #8 is the bad one. so i change it and it has no improvement. next I pul off UVH and bench test and everything ohmes out fine. any help ?

Get another buzz test done... I've often seen other injectors reveal themselves as bad when a new one has been installed. Did that with my old '94... replaced #8 (felt exactly like what yours does), didn't totally fix it (tho improvement was immediatly noticeable), only to find that the next buzz test showed 2 other injectors getting weak.

How did the ohms spec out on your truck across the UVC connectors? Don't know about the new style UVCH's, but the older ones were known to melt connectors (my '94 did... Rough ride... barely limped it to the dealer for diagnostics)

The uvh is where I think my problem is. before this happen i was getting a intermitant p1316. idm circuit. I just hate to throw 220.00$ at something that cheeks out.

Sometimes it happens. May even be the ohmmeter has a low batt. giving false readings? Or could just be the connectors themselves... those clips sometimes get weak/wear out. Bad/weak connection= poor performance. Or too much oil gets inside a connector and shorts out.

ok, this is pissing me off! now i've replaced the uvh and gasket and nothing! i put the scanner back on it and the only codes are p1316 and p1670. the buzz test was week on #8 and contrabution says 8 too, the new injector. so now what ? I'm going to do a compresion test to rule out head gasket. but being a fresh rebuild i dont think its rings. i guss i could throw down on a new idm but if thats not it money wasted
