Poor Starting, Rough Idle problems.

Hello. I have a 99 PS that I have been fighting for a bit. On startup it sometimes has to be glowplugged 5-6 times even in 100 deg weather until it will finally start. You can smell fuel right after it actually starts and it blows a good amount of smoke. Once running it will idle real rough for up to a minute or so or until I put the throttle down and hold rev to 1000rpm or so for a bit then it will vlear up and run fine. It has a new CMP, fuel pump, oil change and furl filter. I have done wiggle tests, cct, and, buzz tests. I finally got it to fail the #3 CCT and other than that no codes. I am also presently going to replace the turbo, low boost problems, and re-oring the injectors, Cats do similar problems with injector o-rings causing poor starts.
Thanks for the help. I'm just trying to figure out if I'm close or way off base. Thanks again.

I was wondering that. I am pulling the injectors tomorrow and am going to check the VC harnesses and probably replace the glow plugs while I'm there, higher mileage. Do you think I should be converned about the failed CCT on #3. From what it sounds on the board here most people say no. Thanks again.
