Usually about an 80-90 dollar diag fee anywhere you go. Are any dash lights flashing right after you start it or remain lit? The airbag light is really the only light that may stay on for just a bit longer than all the others after all the systems check themselves after startup...

no there are no lights on my dash i took it to a shop and my abs light was on and they said it was some wheel sensors that were out and they thought it might be my problem but they replaced them and still no cruise thet thought it might be my switches in my sterring wheel or my pcm

This may sound crazy but check your stop/tail light grounds. Try taking both tail light bulbs out and try the cruise.
If the light isn't grounded properly the tail light can backfeed to the stop light circuit which will cancel the cruise. You will usually see a problem with one of the tail lights being brighter or dimmer than the other. Look closely at the bulbs when the tail lights are on. If the shorter of the two filiments is lit at all that is your problem. The grounding or the bulb socket is usually the problem. |

Mine does this from time to time because my clutch pedal doesn't come all the way up sometimes. Tried pulling it up with your foot and checking if you have cruise?

is it a manual or an auto?
also check the emergency brake and make sure it engages the little switch. if it is a manual there is a switch on the clutch that works to ways one way is all the way down to start the truck and the other is all the up to allow the cruise to engage. pull the switch out and check it with a um i can't remember what the exact name is but it's on a volt meter and it beeps check to make sure your switch is working |
